After a year of rebuilding post Clapping Joes and Eighps, the D8 readied itself to head back to Room 9 from Outer Space and lay down their newest tracks. In not one but two recording sessions, one in January, the other in May, the Dissipated Eight recorded their most ambitious, diverse disc to date, Altitude. The effort was rewarded as "Windmills" was selected for BOCA 2001 and Chris Molina won the award for best male soloist.
